Tuesday July 5th, 2016 - Lawrenceville, GA to Jacksonville, FL
We were finally ready to leave for Jacksonville, Fl. The road
was gorgeous, just as previous roads we had already seen. We stopped to get
breakfast at Dunkin Donuts and I got some work done on my computer for the next
day. We did experience some weird weather including a downpour of rain in some
areas, some worse than others. On the route we stopped by a special peach stand
run by a young man, about 12 years old running a booth of peaches, boiled
peanuts and more peach items. He was a sweet kid and we sampled some items and
ended up buying some peach butter – excited to try that!!
At 3:22, we arrived in Florida and drove over a fairly large
bridge: The Dames Point Bridge. By the time we arrived at the hotel at 5:30pm
to check in and get unloaded, we got ready to head to Jim & Sandy’s home in
Jacksonville. Next we headed to Kim and Sandy’s home, we talked, ordered dinner
and ended up going for a drive to ROSS to find a nice top from Ross for the
next day on TV, After we went back, talked and headed to our room to get some
sleep. Talk about a wonderful day!
